Isa 7:15 He will eat cheese and honey until he knows how to reject evil and choose good.
Isa 7:16 Indeed, before the boy knows how to reject evil and choose good, the land of the two kings who terrify you will be deserted. GW

Notes : God’s sign to Ahaz was that of a Virgin who would give birth to a child. What this meant at the time of writing by the Prophet it probably referred to a woman a virgin at the time when the prophecy was spoken. It may mean the virgin that Isaiah took as a second wife ch *;1-4 and whose son would not be more than twelve to fourteen years of age before Syria and The Ten Northern Tribes would be captured. This virgin of Isaiah 7:14, is a type of the virgin Mary, who , by the Holy Spirit, miraculously conceived Jesus Christ Matt 1:23. The Hebrew word that is used here is also used in Gen 24:43; Ex 2:8; Ps. 68:25 Prov 30:19 and Song of Solomon 1:3; 6:8 where it refers to a chaste maiden who is unmarried. C. C. Ryrie (Moody Press)
