Isaiah 6:5 Isaiah Cried “I am RUINED”!

Isa 6:5 So I said, “Oh, no! I’m doomed. Every word that passes through my lips is sinful. I live among people with sinful lips. I have seen the king, the LORD of Armies!”

v.5.a So I said, “Oh, no! I’m doomed. Every word that passes through my lips is sinful.

He straight away recognised that He was a sinner – unworthy to join in praising God with these Seraphs. The Worship and the Holiness of the God of Glory had so deeply impressed him and He cried out “I AM UNDONE, Woe is me!” He felt so unworthy of carrying God’s Message to this Rebellious and stubborn people of Israel and Judah.

v. 5.b. He was a person of unclean Lips.

What are my lips or your lips like as we contemplate the Greatness and Holiness of our Majestic God and saviour?

When I feel Unworthy of God’s Love.

v.5.c. I have seen the king, the LORD of Armies!”

v.5.c. my eyes have seen the King, the LORD ALMIGHTY.

1Ti 6:16 He is the only one who cannot die. He lives in light that no one can come near. No one has seen him, nor can they see him. Honour and power belong to him forever! Amen.

Joh 1:18 No one has ever seen God. God’s only Son, the one who is closest to the Father’s heart, has made him known.

Application: AS you draw near to God you must realise  that He is altogether holy and separated from us and our unworthiness. WE must cry out with Isaiah, Woe is me for I am undone!” Recognise and take responsibility!
